About Us

 

Marsha Hunt, principal designer at Thompson Hunt floral design, has a passion for creating exciting and innovative floral artistry.  The award-winning floral designer specializes in creating unforgettable events, weddings, in-home and corporate holiday décor, and custom florals for the home.

 

Marsha Hunt burst onto the Twin Cities floral design scene in 2003 when she founded Thompson Hunt floral design, combining her lifelong passions of design and flowers.  In less than a year, she was awarded top honors in her first design competition, was honored as the “People’s Choice” award winner, and named “Professional Floral Artist of the Year” runner-up at Minneapolis “Art in Bloom.”

 

 

Ms. Hunt received her training in floral design at the prestigious Institute of Floristry at Koehler and Dramm in Minneapolis.  Her designs and décor have been the featured attraction on the Edina Holiday Home Tour, the Lake Minnetonka Holiday House, and the Parade of Homes.  Her corporate clients include Target Corporation, Supervalu Corporation, and the Edina Community Foundation.

 

Marsha Hunt’s creative abilities were honed in her previous career as a consultant to the marketing and product/packaging design field, and prior to that, as a successful packaging designer at General Mills.  She has been recognized for her innovative ideas in several patents she was granted for her package designs.  She is a graduate of the University of South Dakota and is past Vice President of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
